From Rock to Socks at the Willows

The children have been involved in problem solving games. They have found this very enjoyable as they have asked to repeat the games again.

The children at the Willows Safehands Holiday Club have been able to bring in their own personal toys/belongings which they enjoy playing with.

A few children have brought in their bikes or scooters, others have brought in games for the Wii, another has brought in a mini Karaoke and performed a show with their friends in front of the other children. This show involved singing, gymnastics and acting.

Another child has brought their electric guitar in and have been very helping showing the other children how to play and allowing them to have a try. One child has brought in a guitar game for the Wii, the children have been able to have challenges on the guitar.

The children have enjoyed the ‘quiet room’ which has been transformed with a parachute hanging from the roof which enables the children to use their imagintive skills in which the ‘den’is used as different settings each session. This activity has been led by the children.

Today at the willows is silly/odd sock day. the children have gone to a great deal of trouble and some have been very creative by having socks attached to them. This morning the children will be involved in a challenge on who can draw the silliest sock. This afternoon the children will be involved in another challenge on who can throw the socks the furthest.
