Week commencing 02/08/10
This week at Palatine we have been very busy as we have had three birthdays to celebrate. For each birthday we have had party food for snack along with party games such as musical statues, pass the parcel and hokey cokey.
The children have started writing in their diaries where they can put in a daily entry if they like of what they have been up to at holiday club.
On Wednesday the over 8s enjoyed an action packed day trip to the Chillfactore at Manchester where they took part in tobogganing and sledging. Palatine joined up with the other holiday clubs.
On Friday we had Pyjama day where all the children and staff wore their favourite Pj’s and slippers to holiday club. After lunch the children requested a chill out afternoon so we curled up and watched Ice Age the movie.
The children have also taken part in:
- Bug hunt
- Picture Frames (salt dough)
- Safehands has got talent
- Quiz
- Diary entries
- Jewellery Making (using pasta tubes and string)
- Paper flowers using straws and tissue paper
- Tennis outside
- Mini sports day where the children took part in relay races
- The children made a healthy eating display for the canteen
- Next Thursday the children are going on a trip to watch Toy story 3.
